I use zeolite as cat litter. It clumps fairly well and odor is not a
problem. (I have a BoodaBox brand litter box). Changing from conventional
litter was never an issue, the cat took right to it. Now I don't have to
worry about many of the diseases associated with the clay litter. Even
better, the litter goes straight in to the compost pile (which gets hot
enough to kill the pathogens. I have a compost thermometer to be sure)!
